Companies and brands are appreciated a lot when they work in the interest of people. Meet Kay Black, aka Kay Customz, who creates dolls inspired by real people. She is an artist from Kansas City, Missouri. She makes unique custom dolls with Vitiligo patterns of different colors and albinism. She believes that people with Vitiligo should be proud of who they are. Basically, Vitiligo is a common disease that causes loss of pigments of skin on different parts of the body. So, she is making these types of puppets for encouraging people with same skin conditions. She creates them with natural hair, braids, twists, Bantu knots, afro and some male puppets with thick beards. Her creations are just mindblowing.
She creates different styles of dolls inspired by images of women. She also paints them with intricate patterns. Kids love her creations and she is famous widely for her work. She has about 30k followers on her Instagram. The response to her work was amazing. People commented and appreciated her work like they had never seen these types of dolls before. She says that “I love what I do and take pride in each custom design!”.
